Καρμίρη Αδαμαντία

ΜΕΛΟΣ

Ada Karmiri-Simatou was born in Argostoli, on the Greek island of Cephalonia. She studied music at the Philharmonic School of Cephalonia and the Hellenic Conservatory of Athens. She later continued her studies with Peter Lang at the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg.

Since 1981 Ada Karmiri-Simatou has been teaching piano in well-known conservatories, inspiring her students to study and pursue music with love and respect. She is the artistic director of music schools in Athens, Crete and Cyprus dieunes and a founding member of cultural and artistic unions for the preservation of music.

Ada Karmiri-Simatou has given many concerts in Greece, Germany, Austria, Norway, the USA, Turkey, the Philippines and Thailand. She has participated in music performances in support of various foundations such as the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Through her music performances Ada Karmiri-Simatou has contributed significantly in the work of the Consulate General of Cote d´Ivoire in Greece. For the last three years she performed during the Annual Meeting of the International Friends of Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt.
